DOTS!

The other day I ran into Michael's really quick to get Avery's best friend a last minute birthday gift.  We literally had just about 15 minutes until the party started (not too unlike me to wait until the last minute, sad to say but it's true!)  and while we were hurrying through the aisles looking for a crafty gift...Aria spotted a DOTS coloring book.  Have you ever heard of these DOTS pens?

Actually, I think they are called "Dot Art" or something like that.  They have paint in them and instead of using a brush, they have a sponge on the end, and you "dot" it onto the paper.

They are perfect for little hands that might not do so well with a paint brush just yet.  Plus, the older ones have fun with them as well.

So Aria spotted the Dot Art book and just had to have it.  Of course I bought it for her, because let's face it:  it was much easier than telling her "no" and then dealing with a cranky three-year-old in the check-out line.  (I was in a hurry, remember?  Okay, that's no excuse.  I'm simply a push-over.)
