Rich poured a cement path on our side yard recently. When it dried, the cement forms had to come off, and that's where Alex came into the picture. He learned how to use the drill to take the screws out of the boards, and he used the sledgehammer to get the stakes out of the ground.
He did one entire side and half of the other side all by himself.

So you can see it was quite a job! It might have taken longer having Alex do it, but it's worth it when it teaches a boy the value of hard work and a job well done. Once our side yard is complete, Alex will take pride in knowing he had something to do with that. I bet that will be a great feeling for him!
